Credo che ciò sia dovuto principalmente e, curiosamente, alle lezioni teoriche e non pratiche. Mi sono spinta a ricercare nuove tecniche e nuovi stili, in particolare l’astratto e ho cominciato a dare più peso all’elaborazione progettuale. Il progetto fa la differenza tra l’istinto e l’arte pensata, ragionata, vissuta. 2) Quando dipingo sono solita ascoltare molta musica, non sempre black metal (eheh!)…La musica riesce a liberare una parte ‘inconscia’ di me, specialmente se sono da sola. Non mi è mai sembrato naturale dipingere alla presenza di altre persone. E’ sempre un lungo processo mentale che mi porta ad intervenire su una tela. Metto insieme molte idee che apprendo a lezione e creo qualcosa di informale che mi deve soddisfare in pieno. Alla fine sono esausta, perché diventa un’operazione fisica, oltre che di pensiero. Una volta, una mia professoressa mi disse ‘L’arte è fatica’: niente di più vero! 3) Attualmente credo sia quasi indispensabile per un artista, di qualsivoglia genere, cimentarsi nel creare uno spazio personale nel mare di internet. Questo mezzo offre possibilità diversamente impensabili per farsi conoscere, ma anche per conoscere il lavoro di altre persone. Ne consegue un arricchimento personale che favorisce il proprio lavoro, anche se purtroppo non c’è un’adeguata ‘protezione’del materiale che viene proposto. Un rischio che si corre è l’appiattimento culturale: bisognerebbe riuscire ad andare oltre la passività e il ‘già visto’. Troppa gente si improvvisa artista da un giorno all’altro, invece l’arte richiede tempi lunghi. Credo altresì che la tecnologia possa dare una grossa mano al processo creativo, grazie all’elaborazione al computer di cui anch’io mi servo, ma il lavorare con altri materiali permette un’espressività incomparabile. 4) Molti credono che si diventi artisti frequentando corsi particolari e che, una volta finiti di frequentare, le porte del successo siano lì ad attenderli per una vita di piaceri mondani. Per quanto mi riguarda, la pittura è sempre stata una parte determinante della mia vita. Ho imparato a disegnare da sola quand’ero molto piccola e fino all’Accademia ho percorso un cammino da autodidatta. Chi ha questo ‘dono’, non può prescinderne: è una modalità espressiva che ti accompagna silenziosa, ma quando irrompe all’improvviso ti costringe ad elaborarla. E’ come se si riuscisse a guardare il mondo attraverso grandi inquadrature e vedere certe cose sotto un altro punto di vista. La pittura ‘vissuta’ nel mio caso nasce dalla mia sensibilità, che non appare esteriormente (almeno a chi non mi conosce) e dalla mia sofferenza soggettiva. L’arte contemporanea è arte della sofferenza e della ‘rassegnazione’. Mi ci rispecchio. 5) Non credo in Dio da quando avevo circa 14 anni… Nonostante ciò, sono iscritta al dipartimento di Arte Sacra Contemporanea a Brera. Una scelta difficile, anche se molto interessante e attuale, perché diversi corsi sono interconfessionali. Si tratta di sforzarsi di dare un senso più profondo alle proprie opere, anche perché l’arte sacra non è ‘arte cristiana’ (anche se lo può essere!). Se dovessi pensare a Dio, penserei alla Luce… 6) Sì, credo che possa esistere un rapporto tra genialità e popolarità…Mi viene in mente la figura del giullare, che poteva permettersi di criticare il potere perché un po’ puro, un po’ folle, ma soprattutto amato dal popolo. Il genio, incompreso e outsider: sono due facce della stessa medaglia. Tutto sta nel sapersele giocare al momento giusto. Ma chissà quand’è il vero momento giusto… 7) Uno solo non riesco a indicarlo, non posso che dire di sceglierlo fra i seguenti: Socrate, Federico II, William Wallace, Machiavelli, Leonardo, Schopenhauer, Baudelaire, Schiele, Rothko, Bacon, Basquiat, Benigni, Corrado Guzzanti, Johnny Depp… 8) Per me Lisa Massei è innanzitutto una grande amica, oltre che essere un’ottima scrittrice. L’ho conosciuta diversi anni fa ad un concerto e da lì abbiamo iniziato una bella amicizia, che ci ha portate anche a partecipare insieme ad una serata (organizzata dai Buffonimaledetti a Pavia) in cui lei era impegnata in un reading ed io esponevo i miei quadri.
